Complete unit

Rear panel

First glimpse inside: after removing the ventilation grill in the base of the unit

Next I removed a back panel holding the fan...

A small number of minor injuries were now sustained...

More blood, if you like

Some time later I finally managed to remove the cabinet

Here it is from the rear. Notice the large springs, the entire internal circuits are mechanically sprung mounted to the cabinet

Closeup. Connection to the plasma panel is by conductive plastic ribbons

Closeup of one of the mechanical vibration isolation springs, and a note about the plasma voltage

This shows the ribbons going to the plasma panel, and some of the very thick circuit boards.

This is what the removed case looks like. Probably anodised aluminium.

Some pictures from the sales brochure (thanks Charles for sending me the scan!)
