An all valve (tube) amateur radio tranceiver for 80m/20m CW/SSB

This tranceiver is under construction at G0UPL. It will use only valves, no solid state devices. It will use a superheterodyne architecture to cover 80m and 20m bands with a 5.0 - 5.5 MHz VFO and 9MHz IF. The IF filter will be a crystal ladder filter. "Magic Eye" tubes will be used for the S meter and perhaps other indicators, I have types EM34, EM84, EM85 to select from. The final amp will use a PL509 television sweep tube for an estimated power output of 100W.
